It's not every day that you get to shoot a wedding in the middle of a tropical storm, but that's exactly what happened at the beautiful MeadowView Events in McConnells, SC. Taylor with Lemons & Willow Event Management helped Nadia and Joel plan the perfect day, but then she really helped us adapt to some pretty wild weather conditions! The stunning couple, Nadia and Joel, were the stars of this unique occasion. This wedding was an absolute blast to shoot, making it a truly memorable experience. What made it so special was that Nadia and Joel were up for anything. They completely trusted me, and as a result, we had the best time! And even though it was a rainy day the photos turned out amazing!
Timeless & Romantic Wedding Day in South Carolina
From the moment Nadia booked me, she consistently reiterated her trust in me to capture their special day, regardless of the circumstances. They were both so easy-going and were completely down for anything. So, when their wedding day arrived and a tropical storm decided to join us, Nadia remained calm and cool. She knew that we'd make the most of it and that her wedding day would be beautiful no matter what. And she was right!! The ceremony was a beautiful, religious, Christian ceremony. Nadia and Joel took the Lord's Supper as a symbol of their unity with God, and their commitment to a marriage centered around Him. The music was wonderful, as they and their congregation spent time in worship, praising and thanking God for their union. The love and support from their families were palpable. It felt like everyone was actively participating in the ceremony, becoming a part of the commitment they were making to each other.
The weather did cut our bridal party photo session somewhat short. Yet, we made it work!! We did Nadia and Joel's portraits in the rain! We literally ran around, chasing them with our cameras. It was an absolute blast! Nadia even had her hair redone into the cutest power pony ever! The reception was just as fun, and you'd never know that there was a literal tropical storm going on outside. They even took a cigar break during the reception which was a whole vibe - so fun!! This wedding was a true reflection to the fact that, with the right couple and a little bit of adventurous spirit, you can create beautiful memories, no matter the weather. Nadia and Joel, your wedding was unforgettable, and I'm so glad I was there to capture it all!!
