I had the best time capturing Abby and Tyler’s beautiful garden wedding at the stunning Viewpoint at Buckhorn Creek! They were so sweet and emotional, but also so fun to work with! We had some extra time for the couple’s photos, so we had fun running around the venue and taking advantage of all the areas! And that’s why I want to share with you guys why you should plan your wedding day with a timeline that keeps you on track, but also allows memories to be made and emotions to be captured.

Abby & Tyler’s Intimate Garden Wedding

From the moment I met Abby and Tyler, I could feel the love and excitement radiating off of them! I knew their wedding day was going to be filled with emotion and special moments that they would want to cherish for many years to come. So, when it came time to plan their timeline, it was important to create a schedule that allowed them to fully immerse themselves in their day, while also ensuring everything ran smoothly. One of the ways we maximized their time was by doing a first look. This intimate moment between them gave them a chance to soak in their love for each other and experience the joy and emotion that come with such an important day.

But here's the thing - we kept the schedule soft! Yes, you read that right! A soft schedule allows for flexibility and spontaneity. It's all about having a detailed timeline, identifying high-priority moments, and maintaining constant communication with your planner and photographer. This way, if anything changes or if a special moment arises spontaneously, your team can adapt and ensure that the moment is captured perfectly! This is exactly what happened at Abby and Tyler's wedding. The timeline allowed me to capture their genuine reactions and emotions, making their wedding photos even more special. Now, there's one thing to remember about soft scheduling — it may mean you need a specific amount of time. So, it’s important to communicate with your photographer about how many hours you’ll need for your big day. This will ensure you have enough time for those real, unscripted moments to happen and for you to truly enjoy them!

Sweet words from Abby!

"We absolutely loved our experience with Hannah. Not only was she a great photographer, but she quickly became a great friend during the wedding planning process. A lot of people get nervous about not having the right poses or not being comfortable in front of the camera. We never had to worry about that with Hannah. We felt so comfortable from the start. Her communication was so prompt and detailed and our experience of our engagement session was so fun and uplifting. I knew that I could fully trust her to capture our memories on our most important day. We are beyond thrilled with our decision of choosing Hannah to be a part of our wedding day. Every picture truly captured our emotions and love of our day. Our photos are something we will treasure for the rest of our lives."
